Infinite Cats
Imagine taking a picture of your cat and then taking a picture of another cat looking at the picture of the first cat. Repeat. Repeat again and again and again until you get bored. You've just imagined the infinite cat project.

This looks like some of those gang-bang movies where they say something like "500 guys, 1 girl" when in reality, it is 100 guys, they just all go 5 times each. I swear that some of those cats look alike. Actually, some of those cats look like some of those guys in the gang-bang movies.... weird?
I've never seen one of those movies, but I'll take your word for it.
I think you underestimate the strangeness of cat owners and the popularity of digital cameras.
